wednesday, aug 30, 2006[jelly feet]
It was the traditional get-together thingie for old and new English students last night. Fun enough. I actually even talked to some new people. Woo. But obviously I feel relieved that I don't have to learn the names of 30 new people again, I'm done with that responsibility.
For some reason we thought it'd be a good idea to go to BePop after Palaveri. The music was crap (oh really?) but I danced until my feet were practically jelly. But I think me, Katja, Noora, Jaakko and this freshman girl (+Jussi) were a really good combination. After Kari M. showed up with Maija, Greg and Peter, things got beyond weird from my point of view. Ah well.

Good grief.
Side note: yesterday I learned that Ken is a Buffy fan. They pop up in the strangest places.
I think everyone's brain, as well as ability to speak and sense of politeness, decided to take a holiday today. Not that it matters. Except that we might've crushed Jani's self-esteem for good. Hmm. We'll see.
Hanna: Opening a conversation with a person when all you have to say is "Hello. You're a cute man." is a tad bit useless in my opinion.
Virpi: You could do it. I once told that cute guy that his eyes were pretty, and that was the only thing I ever wanted to say to him. Of course, he panicked.
Hanna: Exactly. Having learnt from your example, I will keep my mouth shut and myself at a safe distance from the bloke.
Virpi: Why can't men take compliments?
Noora: Jani, how would you react if someone told you that you are a cute man.
Jani: Don't know. No one's ever said that to me.
Noora: Jani, you're a cute man.
Jani: Awww, thanks.
Hanna + Virpi: *hysterical laughter*
Jani: ...and thanks again.
Virpi: We're sorry.
Hanna: *giggle*
...
Jani: I can't wait for the party, I get to wear my all pink outfit.
Virpi: You saying that makes me think of Twin Peaks.
Jani, Noora, Hanna: Huh?
Virpi: No, hold on. The midget there wore white.
Noora & Hanna: *hysterical laughter*
Jani: Here we go again.
Virpi: No! I mean. I only mean that the midget wore white and..
Hanna: You can't make this any better, you know.
Hum.
And then to something completely different:
I bought a new pair of bra on Sunday and it gives me a rather nice shape and make most of my tops look really good. Unfortunately, I'm still not confident enough to wear only those tops (plain spaghetti straps and stuff) without other shirt or top, so it's all in vain. But maybe someday.
And ooo, I so need to clean the apartment tomorrow. I've been delaying it since I got back and it's getting disastrous now. I don't think I've used the vacuum since the beginning of June. On my defence: I was away for two months. Then again, that doesn't make the amount of dust any less disgusting.

I think the freshman girl was Jenni. Not sure though. Also, you missed some more weirdness with leaving half an hour earlier than the rest of us. Including Greg and Maija waltzing to Voodoo people.

But I saw them waltz before we left... Anyways, weird. An our conversations sounded even funnier in English. Hmm. The fresman girl's name was indeed Jenni (and freshman-Seppo was there as well...).
