[the uspenski myth]

Dad took Milla and me out to eat yesterday. It was nice - and anticipated because he promised to do this in late May or something. We've just been waiting for a time that'd fit our schedules. Har. Busy lives. I just wish I'd chosen some other food, my pork wasn't all the nice.

After the meal Milla and me decided to drive to Ikea to kill the boredom, and I finally got a new plate to replace the one I broke some time ago. Now I have the full set again, which is nice. :) Anyway. We were talking about how it's so nice the Ikea madness didn't strike us and that we bought only what we needed (we left the place with purchases worth of 2 euros each!). And then the suddenly the next moment we were in Sello and I had bought a pair of sneakers, another one of flip-flops and a scarf. Not to mention the jeans and the shopping bag I bought on the way to Ikea. Oops.

But it's not like I bought anything useless. My old sneakers weren't looking too good anymore (and the new ones are pink!) and I had only one pair of jeans that I can say are in at least somewhat decent condition. Also, all my shopping, including the plate and the two ice creams I bought for us for dessert, were about 35 euros in total, so it's not too bad. Of course, that was about the last of my money and I am now officially a leech, but I decided to to care because I now have pink sneakers and a new nice pair of jeans.

And I will get my wages in 10 days or so :p

Something I've been half bitter and half amazed about for the last few days:
Last week mum interviewed this rather famous writer for one of her projects. Although mentioning his name makes some people bitter and amazed already, I'm not too impressed. The fact that he's best friends with Eduard Uspenski does. o_O

I cannot cope with the fact that mum now knows someone who knows Eduard Uspenski. No one's allowed to know him! He's not even supposed to be real! He's like a myth! And I heard that he has a habit of spending summer holidays not too far from where I live. Whoaaa..

Then again, I'm now almost related to another celebrity, right? The not-so-bitter part of the story :)

Tomorrow's the first day at work that I'm alone in charge. Scary. Especially considering the fact that I totally fucked up one ad in the latest paper. Eeep!
On a brighter note, it's Milla's birthday today, and we get to have strawberry cake. Teehee.

Mmmmmstrawberry cake...

Where was I? Oh, yes. I'm curious to know how exactly did you fuck up the ad? Made some embarrassing typos? Put the ad upside down? Do tell :D
